In his work "The Model Family", Wang Jingsong took over 200 photos of the ideal family in China today. The image of the two parent, one child has become the model for the masses in today's China -- a product of national ideology, as unique as it is complex. Hong Lei's photographic works employ real flowers and real birds, arranged in compositions common in Song Dynasty imperial paintings and reflective of a highly refined aesthetic taste.
