Wang Lin: Born in Xian, raised in Chongqing, Wang Lin graduated from the Chinese Language department of the Chongqing Normal University in 1982, whereupon he took up a teaching position at the Sichuan Art Academy. He is presently a professor of art, aesthetics and art research at the same Academy.

Born in Xian, raised in Chongqing, Wang Lin graduated from the Chinese Language department of the Chongqing Normal University in 1982, whereupon he took up a teaching position at the Sichuan Art Academy. He is presently a professor of art, aesthetics and art research at the same Academy.

Having researched contemporary Chinese art for many years, Mr Wang has curated five times "The Art Document Exhibition of Research on Chinese Contemporary Art"; "Chinese Art in the 90s: 'The China Experience'" exhibition; "Art Position in Interactive Time: The China Invitational Art Exhibition of Art from Seven Provinces and One City on the Upper Reaches of the Changjiang River;" "The Floating Platform: An Invitational Exhibition of Works by Sculpture Artists." Mr Wang also participated in the organization and juror selection of the "Juried Exhibition of Chinese Art Critics," "The Shanghai Biennial," "China!" in Bonn, Germany, among other exhibitions.

Recent publications include "China - Art of Post 89;" "Urban Personality and Contemporary Art;" "The State of Contemporary Chinese Art;" "The Present Situation of Art". Mr Wang has published more than tweny books and more than two million words on art.
